2023

Brief

We were challenged with helping flagship UK cybersecurity company; Immersive Labs bring their annual Cyber Resilience Summit to life with a bold new visual identity. The summit would bring together business leaders, CISO’s and thought leaders to the McLaren F1 HQ in Woking, UK.

Created specifically for the event, an impactful aesthetic was needed to complement the McLaren Tech Centre - a sweeping interactive space, part of the Lord Foster designed complex - while also immersing participants in the interactive sessions. The star of the show would be engaging video content for a 150 seat, 360º auditorium with a wraparound screen powered by multiple projectors and supported by 2 LED screens in front of each delegate.

Development

We initially explored ever evolving threats and developed this idea through several creative formats.

These ideas would be displayed on a 360º screen, around 30,000 pixels wide, powered by multiple projectors and controlled by a central vision mixing system. The maths to create a design for this setup involved a complicated division of the content, requiring large amounts of render time before then being exported out into multiple video files. A lot of time was spent not only developing the visuals to run at a comfortable viewing speed but also to deliver an efficient codec and file size to help the backend run smoothly.

Whereas, the 16x9 delegate screens needed a degree of flexibility, so these were built in a bitesize manner so that we could react and easily adjust content up to and including on show day.

Our Solution

The Threat Landscape

Based on our development and research so far, the theme of the Ever Evolving Threat Landscape shone through and married well with development work the client was doing whilst fleshing out the day's events.

We created a set of visuals that would evoke a sense of being confronted with this challenge whilst at the same time being reassured that Immersive Labs had the tools and resources to provide the learning enviornment that their customers required to overcome these threats.

The design was centred on a delegate being at the heart of the action surrounded by the Threat Landscape on the 360º screen.

We used the client’s key branded elements throughout the design and to provide structure to the day helping segment each session of the day. These also added an element of fun and intrigue to the various screens.

The two delegate screens provided analysis of the cyber threats, any visual content that the hosts wanted to present to each guest and an event responsive animation to provide navigational content to guide the attendees through the day.

Finally, supporting the guests as they were greeted at the event and refreshed in between sessions we also created informational and other branded content for the event across  the venue.
